Maggie (GCH CH Shasta’s Marguerite May)

Maggie was intended to raise with my grandkids, she became the best family dog we’ve ever owned. Smart, biddable, playful and even tempered, Maggie joined a household of adults, kids, an Aussie and 2 Yorkies. After many compliments on Maggie’s looks and temperament, she entered the colorful world of dog show conformation. We were a bit late to the ring as Maggie earned her first points the eve of the COVID shut down (March 2020). Upon re-entry in late spring of 2022, Maggie, quickly finished with 3 majors, 16 pts. Maggie earned her AKC Temperament Test (ATT) and Farm Dog Certification (FDC) in September 2022. She completed Grand Champion Title in December 2022. Maggie has all healther clearances and CHIC number available on AKC.org.

Angus (GCH CH Blacfriar The Sky Is The Limit)

Angus (GCH CH Blacfriar The Sky Is The Limit) is our beautiful boy - This picture is on his first birthday - and already a Champion! He’s named The Sky Is The Limit, after the Fleetwood Mac’s song and I “flew across the sky” to get him! His call name Angus reflects his big beefy stature and our county’s resident cows. Angus is affectionate, biddable, eager to please and play . He has not met a person or dog he doesn’t love. When Angus isn’t being a great family dog, he’s in the ring earning Grand Champion Points, or working on rally or skills. He earned his AKC Temperament Test (ATT) and Farm Dog Certification (FDC) in September 2022, BCAT in October, 2022 and was titled as Grand Champion in November, 2022. Angus earned his CGC and RN summer of 2023. He’s also cleared for Health related screens with CHIC number available on AKC.org.   • Frankie

    Born April 17, 2023 our newest Quail Run Flat Coat is our baby girl Frankie - She’s Maggie’s and Angus’ pup - here to make a splash in our family dog world. Pictured here at 8 months - she’s in training for conformation & rally. and after starting BPUP with 4/4 group 1 wins. Frankie achieved her champion title at 16 months with limited shows. She's a smart, sweet girl - working on Grand Champion and Rally and will head to the whelping box after April 17 2025.

  • Teddy

    Teddy, Blacfriar's Bewitched, pictured here at 20 months, earning his Grand Champion Title, is an affectionate, smart and fun loving boy! He's a wonderful family dog who aims to please and charm everyone he meets. Teddy also runs agility and is our planned stud for Frankie - doubling down on the Blacfriar health, temperament, bone, coat and bid-ability. Teddy, like his uncle, Angus, turns heads and wins the hearts of all who meet him! Look for more on Frankie X Teddy in 2025.

  • Piper

    Piper - pictured on the right, winning Best of Breed is an amazing girl - she's an exceptional girl bred by dear friend, Phil Sunseri of Clear Creek Kennel in Reno. Piper is known as Clear Creek Life of Piper. She's expecting puppies in November, 2024. The Angus X Piper litter will be all black, and join the lucky Flat-Coated Retrievers who steal everyone's heart. Angus brings his titles, looks and exceptional biddability to this litter, while Piper contributes her excellent length, coat, and effusive charm. Piper's pups will be born near San Francisco, CA in early November.
