It all begins with Maggie. Having loved and raised dogs my entire life, Maggie was the dog who stole my heart as my first Flat-Coated Retriever (FCR). After raising German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Wire-Haired Fox, Yorkshire Terriers, and a rescue dog, I was looking for a breed that was very reliable with children - one to raise with my grandchildren. FCRs fit that description and more. FCRs are beautiful, affectionate, playful, and sporting, these dogs became “the best” on my long list of wonderful breeds. Upon retirement as a public educator, I am pursuing the dream of breeding exceptional family dogs.
